EGC Plastics is the recognized world leader in the manufacturing of electrical tape used for cable winding, and PTFE thread seal tape used in the construction, automotive, aerospace and chemical industries. EGC Plastics’ PTFE tapes are utilized in a variety of industries where high temperatures affect the performance of electrical wires and cables, as well as other niche applications.

The bi-axial orientation of EGC Plastics’ PTFE tape provides exceptional strength and durability. The laser-markability of EGC Plastics’ tape - up to 75% - is higher in contrast than any other PTFE tape available in the world today. Sizes can be custom made with thicknesses of .002” and higher and widths between 1/16” to 12”.

EGC Plastics’ PTFE tapes can be produced in various thickness and widths, in virtually all colors, and are packaged in jumbo, flat pad or traverse spools.

Mechanical Tape

3P100 is 3P STANDARD Mechanical PTFE Tape

This tape can be used in a variety of products, gaskets, membranes or other applications where high temperature or chemical resistance is needed. 3P Mechanical unsintered tape is a good economical alternative when no electrical properties are requested, but where chemical resistant is an important factor. 3P Mechanical unsintered tape comes in a wide variety of widths and thicknesses. The expanded low density tape version, 3P100LD, is also known as Thread Seal Tape or TST. 3P100LD TST comes in yellow and pink for specific applications such as Oxygen and Gas.

Standard Tape

3P200 is 3P STANDARD unsintered PTFE

This tape can be used in a variety of products, cable insulation, dielectric medium for coaxial cables, harness wrap, flexible hoses, gaskets, membranes or other applications where high temperature or chemical resistance is needed. 3P200 comes in different widths and colors, and is laser markable (up to 78% of contrast), or low density (expanded tape).

High Transverse Tape

3P300 is a 3P high transverse tensile product

This tape has been developed to provide a ‘bi-axiale’ orientation of the tape. It is greatly recommended for applications including gaskets, membranes, diaphragms, seals. 3P300 can be provided in a laser markable configuration.

Crack Resistant “Fire Zone” Tape

3P500 has been developed to provide a product with an exceptional CRACK RESISTANT property

This product, also called FIRE ZONE, can resist 50 hours at 660 F (after being wrapped) with no cracking. 3P500 comes in a variety of colors and widths, and can be provided in a laser markable configuration.

Sintered Tape

3P600ST is our SINTERED PTFE TAPE which conforms to ASTM D 3308 Type II tape

3P600ST was developed for electrical applications such as cable insulation. This product is available in thicknesses starting at 0.002" and width from 1/2" to 12".

3P600CT is our SINTERED CONDUCTIVE PTFE tape

This product has been developed to offer an exceptional conductivity with no black residue and excellent sealing properties. 3P600CT can be used in any application where control of static electricity is critical such as flexible hoses, aerospace and electronic industries. 3P600CT comes in a large variety of thicknesses from .0025" and width from 1/2" and up.
